It's a Superga X [INSERT NAME HERE] Shoe Off! Three "It" Girls, One Shoe. Who's Collab is the Best?

SUPERGA, the man repeller, leandre medine, the blonde salad, chiara ferragni, suki waterhouse, sneakers, 2014

Superga is an "It" sneaker known for collaborating with "It" girls. Chiara Ferragni, better known as The Blonde Salad and Leandre Medine always known as The Man Repeller, are just two of fashion's biggest influencers who have capsule collections with the brand.

Last month Superga announced that their latest collaboration will be with Spring/Summer 2014 campaign model Suki Waterhouse. Along with the announcement came photos of heart-adorned flatforms that reflect Suki's uptown bohemian, slightly saccharine, style. The flatforms come in three colorways, sugary pink, baby blue and a more serious red/navy combo that will hit stores in August of this year.

With this latest campaign comes an interesting question that I'm surprised no one has asked before. Here we have three "It" girls, from three different "It" cities, that have designed three widely different capsule collections with an "It" brand. Suki's collection may not have dropped yet, but this calls, no screams, for a "shoe off".

Flip through the slideshow below and let us know, who do you think has the best Superga X "It" girl collab.

Need a Cotton T-Shirt? Spray Yourself a New One

Spray on cloth, paul luckham, manel torres

Imagine being able to get a new t-shirt just by spraying it on.

I know what you're thinking, because I was thinking the same thing -it's probably nothing more than heavy duty body paint that you wouldn't dare wear out in the rain. Maybe it is, (except for the rain part) but it's definitely not a gimmick. As a matter of fact, it could revolutionize the textile and apparel industries.

Developed by particle engineer Paul Luckham and fashion designer Manel Torres, the spray on cloth is a liquid solution of cotton fibers, plastic polymers and a solvent that can be sprayed directly on the body. When applied, the solvent evaporates leaving a fabric that doesn't bond to the skin with the wearer being able to spray additional layers of thickness for hot or cold weather.

What makes this idea so groundbreaking is that the fabric can be manipulated after it dries. This means it can be handled like a regular piece of clothing and worn multiple times. Not only that, should you get tired of wearing the same old spray-on tee, you can dissolve the fabric in the solvent and respray yourself another one. That's pretty darn cool.

See Paul Luckham demonstrating the process in a video after the jump.

QOTD? Would You Buy This Sneaker?

Buscemi, Sneaker head, shoes, sneakers, luxury, diddy

This is the Buscemi.

Take a good long look at it.

Finished.

Okay.

Now let me tell you little more about it. Former stockbroker Jon Buscemi, creator of the sneaker (obvi), along with his partners purposely limited production to create exclusivity along the lines of Hermes. Add in the requisite celebrity endorsement and the sneaker can't stay on the shelves due to high demand and waitlists. This hard to find sneaker has now been profiled in business publications like the Wall Street Journal and Inc Magazine as a case study in genius marketing.

Look at this sneaker again. It's pretty isn't it?

It cost $800.

Worth it?

A Moleskine Store is Coming Near You...Hopefully

Moleskine, notebooks, popup shop
Moleskine Pop up shop at the Old Street Underground

If you haven't tried a Moleskine notebook yet, you do not know what your missing. I don't know what it is about Moleskine. Seriously, what it is that makes them so appealing? Do you know? All I know is ever since I was gifted one a few years ago, I haven't been able to keep my notes in anything else.

Normally you'd have to go to a specialty store like Barnes & Nobles to purchase one, but Moleskine is continuing it's expansion of standalone stores. Yes! That means more product, more options and more innovation. This expansion is mostly happening in Europe, although there were shops opened in Soho as well as Short Hills Mall in New Jersey.

If your lucky enough to live near one you'll notice that the store design mimics the design style of the notebooks with the classic black rectangle reimagined as an open platform. An experience table allows visitors to interact with different tools to find the notebook which suits them best and a Stamp Station gives them access to a variety of location-specific stamps they can use to customize their Moleskine objects and record travel memories.

Scroll down to see more images from the shop.

Update: Moleskine opened their first pop up shop in London at the Old Street Underground which was transformed into a creative hub by Appear Here, the largest online marketplace for retail space.

Secrets Out! Warby Parker Launches the Beacon Collection

Warby Parker, Beacon Collection, sunglasses, sunnies, eyeglasses, glasses, fall 2014, petra collins

Okay, so there was like this big secret that I was in on and it was so hard to keep a secret but I did because I didn't want to be that guy, you know, that guy that can't keep a secret, but it's oh such a great secret to reveal. So here goes...

Buzzworthy eyeglass brand Warby Parker has just released a brand new series called the Beacon Collection. Surprise!!!

I got an advanced look at it last week and it's pretty amazing. The collection is inspired by all-nighters and the name is a nod to the morning star that is visible just after sunset and just before sunrise. The frames are intended to be a reflection of this and I think Warby Parker pulled it off rather nicely.

In the literal sense, the Garrett frames are meant for both prescription lenses or tinted lenses for frames that can be worn as everyday glasses or sunnies. Hell, go for transition lenses and do both I say. I mean, we are talking all-nighters here. There's nothing like being in a dark club for hours and walking out at daybreak. My eyes! My eyes! Ahh memories. But I digress.

Beyond the inspiration, there is a specific quality that I like about the collection. Each of the four styles has a just-shy-of-subtle design feature like the flat browline of the Garrett or the angled brow of the oversized Nancy that makes them perfect for those of us who want to be unique, but not outrageous. My favorite of the collection is the McKee. The round frames are fun and the two color options, clear light gray and tortoise shell, are spot on and hard to choose between.

In the spirit of the collection, the campaign images were shot downtown Manhattan and follow two party-goers from sunset to sun-up wearing all four styles. They can be purchased on the Warby Parker online shop as of today.

See all four styles and the campaign images after the jump...

Jeans That Smell Like Fruit are a REAL Thing!

Fragrance Jeans, Salsa, scent, perfume, denim, jeans
Salsa's Fragrance Jeans in Lemon, Strawberry and Orange

Portuguese retailer Salsa has launched a line of jeans called Fragrance Jeans. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that with a name like that, little explanation is needed to explain the pull. As for myself, I can't figure out if this is the next big thing or innovation run amok.

Salsa claims to have created an innovative technology that embeds fruity smelling microcapsules into denim that release a specific scent over time. They don't specify how much time or how many washes it takes before the scent wears off, but they calculate that if you wash your jeans every three days (which I don't) the scent would last almost three months. If you round it out to laundering twice a week over three months, than that's roughly 24 washes.

Hey Sandal Lovers! Exfoliate your feet like a Boss!

Babyfoot best foot scrub, best foot exfoliator
This works!

I'm a keep it simple type of person when it comes to beauty treatments. I'm not going to let fish eat the dead skin on my feet. I'm not going to draw blood just to put it back on my face. I will wax my bikini line, but brazilians are still a no go. With all that said, it doesn't mean that I still don't want to be beautiful. I just don't want to work for it.

While browsing the web, reading reviews about the best hair products, I stumbled upon one about a relatively obscure foot product. This product, called Baby Footwas getting rave reviews by commenters on Amazon, Makeup Alley and a bunch of random beauty blogs. I mean, it was borderline beauty worship. Apparently, it's made of plant acids that cause the dead outer layers of skin to peel, leaving you with new skin. Kind of like, well, a baby's foot.

It runs for about $25 a box, but I found one on Amazon for $19. When it came about a week later, I held out a day wanting to contain my excitement and feed my scepticism just in case I was setting myself up for dissappointment.

A 3D Printing Pen to Customize My Clothing. Yes, Please!

We are living in an age where we are limited only by our imagination and that is most evident in the area of design which encompasses architecture, interiors and technology. There is something about design that I find so fascinating and I am constantly amazed by the steady stream of innovation from these areas. The fashion industry, though design-oriented by nature, is most forward-thinking and progressive in the area of wearable tech, often looking for ways to merge the two. So it was only a matter of time before the latest buzzthing in the area of design, 3D printing, found it's way into fashion.

Camo Shoe Roundup for Spring

Best Camo Shoes for Spring 2014

From runway to realway, camouflage is so hot right now. So much so that it has gone beyond jeans and jackets and can now be found in accessories like handbags and footwear.

While I love seeing the utilitarian print interpreted on handbags like the Valentino Rockstud (above), I'm still reluctant to carry one. That reluctance, however, doesn't apply to footwear. From Nike sneakers to Stella McCartney loafers, camo can be found in all manner of styles in all manner of materials and colors.

If you're thinking about trying it out this spring, go for it. To help you out, I've rounded some of my favorite options in each style. Click below for some camo shoe inspo.

Mondelliani Sunglasses Brings Bright Italian Color to Spring Eyewear

mondelliani glasses, eyewear, best sunglasses for Spring,

My latest discovery is such a gem. The brightly colored eyewear of Mondelliani are just what the doctor ordered after such a dark and chilly winter. I was able to get a small preview of the collection a few days ago and was immediately smitten.

The glasses, which come in both sunnies and prescription-ready, are made in Italy and hand finished. In keeping with their heritage, the collections are named after Sicilian Islands and carry names like Eolie and N. Punto. Unfortunately, the pictures I took, nor do the pictures on their website, do the brand any justice. You have to see with your own eyes the richness of the color and feel with your own hands the balance.

The brand is preparing a big launch in the US. I'm looking forward to it. I think the sunglasses business needs a little spicing up and this could be the brand to do it. In the meantime, if you live in New York City, Studio Optix in Rockefeller Center carries them. If you don't live in New York City, don't worry, the wait won't be long.
