Personal Style Bloggers From Around the World Put Their Spin on the G-Star RAW Elwood




You could hire a stylist for a campaign and they will style your product to perfection; skillfully engaging your target audience. But why do that when you can just go to the audience themselves. Whether you're in on the Fashion Circus debate or not, the democratization of fashion is a good thing and in spite of the ups and downs, fashionistas blogging about their style is a part of that democracy. 

G-Star RAW enlisted the help of several of these personal style tastemakers from around the world and tasked them to put their sartorial take on the brand's iconic Elwood jean. G-Star RAW denim has such a unique look and it was interesting seeing how these bloggers incorporated it into their personal style. Note the prevalence of cuffing. Cotton's 24 Hour Runway Show is Baaaaack!!!!!



For the third year in a row, Cotton Incorporated with the help of People Magazine, is hosting their wildly successful 24 hour runway show. The show will feature 1440 looks from popular brands and retailers with a model a minute walking down the massive runway. Can you imagine? 24 hours of non-stop runway? Celebrity guests will include E! hostess extraordinaire Giuliana Rancic, The Hills' Lauren Conrad and actress Camilla Bell. Guys, this is like someone saying "Here's a truck full of skittles. Go crazy."

The show will began live streaming at 8pm tomorrow from Miami b!*@# ha ha.

Prepare to Start Seeing the Term #InstaCampaigns Thanks to @GeorgiaMayJagger and @HudsonJeans #SS13 #LETYOURSELFGO Ad Campaign

 

I couldn't resist going all hashtaggy in the title because the press release was so full of @'s, hashtags and hyperlinks that I felt inspired. 

Hudson's new ad campaign for Spring 2013 is being called an InstaCampaign. I'll give you three guesses, but you'll only need one to know what the vehicle for getting the message out will be. Instagram! I wonder if this word mash will be the start of other Insta-something or others. Like InstaShoots or InstaTorials. It's catchy. No?

The Spring 2013 InstaCampaign features Hudson's longtime collaborater Georgia May Jagger who is taking a stab behind the camera this time around. She's also brought along her older brother James Jagger and the two have revolved it around the hashtag-friendly phrase #LETYOURSELFGO.

The Instagram photoshoot centers around Georgia May Jagger’s London lifestyle while showcasing styles from the Spring 2013 collection. A behind the scenes video, features Georgia in various locations around London, frolicking with friends, hobnobbing with mohawked, punk types and shooting her own film all in the sepia-toned, polaroid-style of Instagram.

The #LETYOURSELFGO #InstaCampaign is sure to be featured prominently on #INSTAGRAM and #Twitter so if you follow @HUDSONJeans and @GeorgiaMayJagger than you're sure to be privy to all of her #London adventures with her boyfriend @JoshMcKellenUK who is also the bandmate of brother @Turbogeist. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Two of my favorite things: blue jeans and sandy beaches. Shot in Malibu, TRUE RELIGION's new campaign, especially the video, reveals a cool, youthful but more sophisticated vibe for the brand.

Who better to forge and define "khaki lifestyle" than LEVI'S-owned DOCKERS? Giving classic "denim lifestyle" a run for its money, the brand continues to grow its brand identity among young people.

Check out this video of a Dockers menswear-designer-slash-skateboarder. Enlisting his friends, he shows how Dockers Alpha Khakis hold up against a day of skating in San Francisco. Rugged yet defnitely refined, the Alpha couples the style and durability of jeans with the clean casual characteristics of chinos. With a slim fit, the pants sit right and look great. Like jeans, they break-in and soften with age.

Even when I saw the trailer earlier this month, I liked the suspenseful moodiness of the film; so check it out.
